“We thought we were going to do series two without the songs of Queen,” he admitted, given how much they’d used in series one. “Those who know the original book know the songs of Queen are important to it,” Tenannt said. One other thing that Tennant revealed will be returning is the music of Queen. “He is very, very funny in series two, he gets to do some very excellent work,” Tennant said with a wicked grin dripping with possibility. “Jon Hamm is back and plays a very central role in series two,” Tennant reveals. One star returning in a big role, he said, is Jon Hamm. Series 2 has a great cast, Tennant says, some new and some returning. He also confided that “for the eagle-eyed” there are a couple Terry Pratchett Easter eggs to be found, too. “So Terry’s still in there, Terry’s ideas are very much a part,” Tennant says, to cheers from the audience. There were ideas that were created back in the day.

“But Neil will tell you that he and Terry had talked about the potential for a sequel. “There was certainly no novel,” Tennant admits, referring to Pratchett's death in 2015. Recently at Emerald City Comic Con, the demon Crowley himself David Tennant spoke with Popverse's Tiffany Babb in front of a live audience and had some big teases, starting with the fact that Pratchett’s endlessly fertile imagination will still be an important part of the series.

At the behest of Sheen, Gaiman did reveal the name of what the sequel would have been called had he and Pratchett been able to write one, though: “668: The Neighbor of the Beast.The fantastic and widely celebrated Amazon adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens novel returns for a second season this summer. When prodded for information on whether they’d consider bringing another season of “Good Omens” to the screen, Gaiman assured the audience that the upcoming six-episode season would be it. “Everybody walked away from this show thinking we did something special,” Mackinnon said. Gaiman did, explaining his process as, “Everybody being trusted to do their own thing, at their own level.” In addition to his big name cast, Douglas Mackinnon came aboard to direct all six episodes, something that the group considered an unusual circumstance for television today but an important one. He worked on ideas with Pratchett initially, and when his co-writer fell ill, Gaiman said Pratchett told him, “You understand it, and you have to make this.” Gaiman was the first to describe previous attempts at bringing “Good Omens” to the screen as too complex, despite always being able to picture it working somehow.
